Under the Internal Revenue Code (IRC), all section 501(c)(3) organizations are absolutely prohibited from directly or indirectly participating in any political campaign on behalf of (or in opposition to) any candidate for elective public office.
To be clear, the Georgia PTA's purpose is to advocate for all children. The Georgia PTA is a nonpartisan body, and it maintains a strict adherence to IRC requirements.
