We lost the many benefits of youth sports in March because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Now youth sports are coming back, but parents, coaches, administrators and educators are concerned about how our youngest athletes can return to play safely. Two professional organizations dedicated to keeping children active, healthy and safe through youth sports are teaming up to address this issue within the broader context of youth sports safety.
Emory Youth Sports Medicine and the CoachSafely Georgia Foundation invite you to join us for an online discussion, Youth Sports Safety: A Georgia Community Huddle, on Thursday Aug. 13th from 5-7 p.m. ET.
Discussion topics include:
Safe return to practice and competition regarding COVID-19
Recognition of concussions and other youth sports injuries
Optimal youth athlete development and training
The CoachSafely concept of injury recognition and prevention and more about the CoachSafely Georgia Foundation's mission.
