The 2019 Georgia PTA Convention Leadership Training, June 7-8 in Atlanta, GA, at North Atlanta High School and  will include numerous ways to engage with our peers statewide, gain new  knowledge about state advocacy issues,  and  have opportunities to learn something new to help build and maintain a successful PTA.  Learn new skills as you collaborate with parents, teachers and school administrators.    This year's  convention activities include:

CLT is a wonderful place to ask questions, learn new things, meet new people and be energized for the coming term. This is where we learn how to make a positive impact in our local schools, councils and districts.

At convention we hear the stories of how PTA has impacted someone’s life. We see the excitement of new leaders who have attended an amazing workshop and we know that when PTA leaders attend convention, they feel connected to the larger association and see they are part of a bigger picture.  PTA believes in our ability to lead and create change to ensure our children can live to their full potential.

When registering, please keep in mind the number of delegates your local unit PTA has.  If you are unsure, please view the attached document  which lists each local unit and how many delegates are allowed.

REGISTRATION POLICIES and INFORMATION

Registration and Event Ticket Transfer Policy

If you complete your registration and later find that you cannot attend convention, but would like to transfer your registration and any purchased event tickets to someone who is not yet registered, you must request in writing, prior to  May 1, 2019, that your registration be transferred to them. Event tickets may not be separated from the original Convention registration nor designated to be transferred to multiple attendees. “Ticketed event-only” registrations and associated tickets are not transferrable. No transfer requests will be accepted after May 1, 2019. All registration transfers will incur a $25 processing fee, payable at the time of your request by a credit card, or by check. If paying by check, the transfer will not be made until the check is received (check must be received by May 1, 2019). All requests must be submitted in writing via email at  office@georgiapta.org.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

If you are unable to transfer your registration and need to cancel, you will need to make the request in writing. Event tickets are not cancellable and are not refundable, but are transferrable (see Event Ticket Transfer Policy). If your request is submitted by the refund deadline of April 30, 2019, you will receive a refund on the registration fee only, minus a $75 processing fee for each cancelled record. No refunds will be issued for cancellation requests received after April 30, 2019. All written requests must be submitted via email at office@georgiapta.org . Credit cards will be refunded within one week of receipt of request. Checks will be issued in the name of the original payer. Please allow 6 weeks for refund checks to be issued.

If I lose my badge and event tickets is there a fee to reprint new ones?

Badges may be reprinted one time only, at a fee of $15, payable at the time of printing. No badges will be printed any additional times.

Tickets will not be reprinted. They should be treated as cash and it is the attendee’s responsibility to ensure receipt of purchased tickets before leaving the onsite registration area.

Statement of Understanding

By registering you agree to the terms and conditions set forth for the Georgia PTA Convention Leadership Training. Registration is transferable.  Payments for transfers must be handled between you and your replacement and your unit/council PTA president. There are no refunds for state PTA registration and event fees, district fees or pre-ordered promo packages.

Photography and Audio Release

By registering for or attending theGeorgia PTA Convention Leadership Training, you hereby grant and assign the Georgia PTA Convention Leadership Training and its legal representatives the irrevocable and unrestricted right to use and publish for editorial, trade, advertising or any other purpose and in any manner and medium, including website and internet promotion, all photographic, audio, video and digital images of you and your guests (including minors) taken while in attendance at the Georgia PTA Convention Leadership Training.  By registering for or attending theGeorgia PTA Convention Leadership Training you hereby release the Georgia PTA and its legal representatives from all claims and liability relating to said photographs, audio, video and digital images.
