First time attendees have an opportunity to learn about events, programs, and the basics of parliamentary procedure necessary for a fun and productive experience at this event. Meet other first timers from around the state.

Visit with successful PTAs while they share their GREAT IDEAS with you. Be entertained by students from around the state of Georgia , enjoy games and activities, participate in a silent auction, shop at the PTA Mart and visit the exhibitors. This will be a lively event and you won't want to miss it.

Saturday, July 11, 1:45 pm – 3:00 pm

Local units will meet with their district director to discuss upcoming events, receive important information, and receive helpful hints on how to make your PTA experience successful and enjoyable. Location of meeting is printed on ticket received at registration. Meeting is mandatory.

Saturday, July 11, 6:00 pm – 6:30 pm

Before the Awards Banquet, outstanding local units, councils, and individuals will be honored at this private reception.  Celebrate your successes with Georgia PTA President Leslie Cushman, National PTA Treasurer Betsy Landers and other Georgia PTA Board of Directors.  All honorees will be notified by invitation.

Birney Butler PTA members will conduct their annual meeting to elect officers and vote on bylaws.

Don't miss this special evening of celebration. Festivities begin with student entertainment and a specially prepared gourmet buffet. We will recognize local units and councils for outstanding achievement, honor exceptional educators, and be entertained by storyteller and comedian Lee McBride. We will install the 2009 – 2011 Georgia PTA Officers and say goodbye to our outgoing officers, thanking them for sharing their time and expertise with our association as well as welcome our newly elected district directors coming in with fresh ideas and renewed enthusiasm. Take this opportunity to invite former board members to attend with you. You may purchase banquet only tickets. No registration fee is required if you are only attending the banquet. All National PTA Life Achievement Award recipients, Georgia PTA Founders Award recipients, and Georgia PTA Honorary Life members are invited to participate in the Walk of Honor before the banquet on Saturday. You must have a ticket to the banquet to join the walk.
