CLT 2013 Workshop Webinars


Our Webinar Specialist extraordinaire will be facilitating these workshops.  We have coordinated presenter calendars and are now pleased to release the master calendar.  All workshop webinars will run from 7:00-8:30 p.m.  However, for any of you that may not be able to join us on the date listed below, each webinar will be recorded, and each recording link will be posted to the Georgia PTA website 7 days after the webinar date.

As if that was not enough good news, the Georgia PTA President made a special request to the National PTA Executive Director, Eric Hargis, to present CLT 2013 workshop:  Growing Your PTA Revenue.   He will be presenting this information on November 7.

Freddie FalconThe Falcons and Georgia PTA have teamed up for a day of family fun, Sunday, December 15th as the Atlanta Falcons battle the Washington Redskins.  Kickoff at 1pm.

PTA members and their families may purchase upper level $55 regularly priced tickets for only $50 per ticket.  And it gets even better…Your PTA will receive $5 from every ticket purchased!


Local Unit PTAs/PTSAs will receive $5.00 from every ticket purchased!

Five Local Unit PTAs/PTSAs will be randomly selected for the opportunity to allow two people from their school to receive pre-game sideline passes and the opportunity to be in the player tunnel during player introductions!

Offers entertainment that entire families can enjoy [promotes “Family Engagement” – one of Georgia PTA’s Strategic Initiatives].

  • You need access to a printer  and the Adobe Acrobat Reader software .  The form is 1 page.
  • The ticket form is formatted for letter size paper (8.5″ x 11″).    If your printer can not accommodate this,  select “shrink to fit” when the  Adobe Acrobat Reader “Print” dialog box appears.

Dear PTA Member,During 2013-2014, Georgia PTA will work with legislators of the Georgia General Assembly and 113th U.S. Congress to advance our cause to ensure that all children reach their highest potential. Legislative priorities form the basis of Georgia PTA’s efforts to monitor legislation and policy issues affecting all Georgia children and youth, including pre-K, K-12 education, and post-secondary education issues. Georgia PTA plans to focus on the following legislative priorities and respond to any legislation or issue covered by our positions.

Hop on Board the Advocacy Express Bus” by registering for the October 1, 2013 Advocacy Conference being held in the Georgia State Capitol at 206  Washington Street, Atlanta, GA 30334. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., and the program begins at 9:30 a.m.

Mark your calendar, and plan to spend a day becoming knowledgeable advocates.  This will be an informative and timely discussion of the most challenging education issues confronting the state of Georgia.  Learn about Common Core and what it means to public education in Georgia.  Get a preview of upcoming hot issues and advocacy strategies.  Register online TODAY until September 26, 2013 at  or you can print off a registration form here, and mail it by September 22, 2013 to:

Attendees can also register on-site at the Georgia State Capitol. On-site, in line registration opens October 1 at 8:00 a.m. EST. Who should attend?  Everyone!  PTA local unit, council and district leaders, legislation chairs, and members with an interest in education and laws affecting children.
